Generative AI

Generative AI refers to artificial intelligence systems designed to generate new data, such as text, images, audio, or video, based on existing examples or patterns. The main goal of generative AI is to learn the underlying distributions and patterns in a given data set and then use this information to generate new, similar, but previously unseen data. This technology is used in a wide range of applications, from creative arts to scientific research and marketing. Generative AI employs powerful generative ML models (e.g. transformers, diffusion models, generative adversarial networks, variational autoencoders, etc). Generative ML models learn to model the underlying probability distribution of the training data and generate new samples from it.
