The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a legislation enacted by the state of California that recognizes and supports an individual’s right to control their personal data. Residents of the state of California have the right to control their private identifiable information (PII). Residents have the right to know what PII is being collected, if it is being sold, if it is being disclosed, and also who is able to see and use their PII.
